According to a study carried out in Colombia on what kind of diseases stray dogs have, it was discovered that the most frequent worms are ectoparasites; 72.1% of the canine population have them, followed by 58.8% helminths and protozoa 33.8%.
The reason why many dogs have this is because they live in conditions with poor hygiene measures.
Adult dogs can transmit this to their offspring if a state of control is not carried out.
